The Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition is putting one square foot in front of the other to raise money at its 18th annual "12x12 Art Show & Sale." More than 150 Oklahoma artists took on the challenge to prove that bigger isn't always better by creating their own masterpieces to fit the 12-inch-by-12-inch dimension limitation.
These small wonders will be on display at "12x12" on Sept. 29 at the Fred Jones Industries Building, 900 W. Main, but OVAC is offering a sneak peek of part of the exhibit now through Sept. 24 at the Bank of America gallery space in the lobby of Leadership Square, 211 N. Robinson.

The artwork will be sold through a silent and blind auction on Sept. 29. Funds raised will support OVAC programs such as curated exhibitions, grants and young artist events. Last year's show raised more than $45,000, with more than 700 people attending. Approximately 800 visitors are expected this year.
