A Wildcatter’s Memories of Hunting for “Black Gold”

Having lived in Oklahoma for a quarter century and raised his children here, California Professional Geologist and author Thomas E. Cochrane is returning to the area to visit family and will be reminiscing about his time in the oil patch of yesteryear in Oklahoma City during the 60s & 70s. He’s a former science teacher who consults on geology and geologic hazards, and is a popular guest speaker on plate tectonics and related topics. He’s the former editor of The Shale Shaker ( Oklahoma City Geological Society), and is a longtime member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG).
