Southern Nazarene University will celebrate Women’s History Month with a lecture and performance about the life and times of four powerful African American women: Zora Neale Hurston, Sojourner Truth, Clementine Hunter, and Fannie Lou Hamer. The evening begins at 6:30 p.m. with a lecture on Zora Neale Hurston by OU professor Catherine Camara in the Hearth Room of the SNU Marchant Center. Following the lecture, an 8:00 p.m. chamber music theater piece Ain’t I a Woman! will be held in Herrick Auditorium.
