Stop to smell the roses " not to mention the lilacs and the daffodils " as the Oklahoma City Home & Garden Show makes its annual return Friday through Sunday in five buildings at the Oklahoma State Fairgrounds.
More than 400 local and national exhibitors will be on hand for the show, now in its 26th year, and each building will showcase new, innovative products and services.
Celebrity guests include two stars from cable channel HGTV. In the Cox Pavilion, Lee Snijders, host of "Design on a Dime," will show visitors how to update their homes for less than $1,000. Meanwhile, in the Modern Living building, Joshua Foss from "Design Star" will offer tips on making one's abode more earth-conscious and environmentally friendly.
In the Travel & Transportation Building, a three-bedroom, 2,100-square-foot "Modular Marvel" home has been constructed to show off hundreds of the latest ideas in home interior design. At the same building, TLC Nursery allows visitors to take a walk through its full-size English garden for landscaping inspiration.
Other scheduled events include ESPN's pool-jumping canines " aka "The Dock Dogs" " and a silent auction of designer-decorated doghouses to benefit the Central Oklahoma Humane Society.
The show is open 2-9 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $9 for adults, $2 for children 6-12 and free for kids 5 and under.
