Carpenter Square stages Albee's taboo-exploring 'Goat'

Devastated Stevie is having none of it, and Vikki Simer skillfully takes this powerful character to the end of the line. The funniest and most volatile scene, after she has just found out, leaves the viewer both exhilarated and exhausted.

Winner of the 2002 Tony and New York Drama Critics' Circle Award for Best Play and finalist for the 2003 Pulitzer Prize, "The Goat" will leave you pondering it long after you leave the theater.

Literalists and the easily offended should pass up this production, with its strong language and subject matter. For other serious fans of contemporary drama, Rhonda Clark's thoughtful production should be part of your bounden education.
