Warning: Your journals today could be turned into a stage play tomorrow.
Playwright Allen Frantzen found the papers of a Vinita family in an antique store, bought them, and has woven them into his new work, "A Son at the Front," making its debut in June in Chicago.
Although based on the Edith Wharton novel, the play uses the papers to "put an American face on the story," according to a press release. Frantzen changes the setting of the World War I tale to Bartlesville.
This has CFN's intern, Bucky, scrambling to place his diary " which include such entries as "She smiled at me in class! Do you think she likes me?" and "Man, I'm hungry. Ham today? I'm thinking Arby's" " under lock and key.
