Oklahoma City is the 19th most productive large city in the nation, according to personal finance website WalletHub, which examined 116 of the nation’s largest cities for its 2016 list of “Hardest Working Cities in America.”

Metrics featured “labor force participation rate,” “average hours worked per week,” and “number of workers with other jobs.”

Anchorage, Alaska, ranked No. 1. Tulsa ranked No. 33.

Americans are 400 percent more productive today than in 1950, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Not to say we were lazy back then, because Federal Reserve Economic Data shows we toiled about 200 more hours annually than we did in 2011. Technology just made us more efficient.
