Metrics featured labor force participation rate, average hours worked per week, and number of workers with other jobs.
Anchorage, Alaska, ranked No. 1. Tulsa ranked No. 33.
Americans are 400 percent more productive today than in 1950, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Not to say we were lazy back then, because Federal Reserve Economic Data shows we toiled about 200 more hours annually than we did in 2011. Technology just made us more efficient.
