Unfortunately, Waldenville remains in the hospital, recovering after being shot on May 21 in Stockyards City.
The fundraiser will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Aug. 27 at Mr. Pho, 1133 N.W. 25th. Tickets are $20, which includes a buffet featuring Chinese classics including egg rolls, grilled chicken and pork, fried catfish, shrimp lo mein and more. A silent auction also will be held.

While working off-duty, Waldenville was ambushed and shot in the head, causing him to lose sight in his right eye. All proceeds will be donated to his recovery fund.
