MPI's four-disc collection reels in odds and ends from commercials, talk shows, game shows and more to shine the spotlight on five pioneers of TV comedy: Dick Van Dyke, Groucho Marx, Tim Conway, Redd Foxx and Phyllis Diller. Naturally, your enjoyment will hinge upon your love and/or tolerance for each comedian, but it's nice to see a lot of the archival footage, especially for those of us who weren't around for it upon original airing. Don't expect pristine A/V quality; that's not the point. You're lucky to be seeing much of these clips at all.
