It takes something unique for a rock 'n' roll band to appeal to dance-happy clubgoers, but Tulsa's Congress of a Crow is doing just that. The band has managed to play " and be rebooked several times " at CityWalk in downtown Oklahoma City.
"Well, (CityWalk) is more of a dance club, for sure," drummer Nathan Lindley said. "But you can pretty much dance to any of our songs, and we have managed to steal a lot of the crowd."
In addition to making its way to OKC just about every weekend in July, the five-piece is teaming up with several other bands to play a "support the troops" rally Saturday at the state Capitol. Lindley said the free rally coincides with others across the nation that day and, despite being at the Capitol, is a non-political effort for musicians and performers to say thanks to American soldiers.

Congress of a Crow has made a lot of headway for a band that has only released a demo CD, a situation Lindley said it is about to remedy by releasing a full-length record this fall.
