Recently, the Edmond native was selected as a top 20 finalist of the hit TV series So You Think You Can Dances ninth season.
So far, So You Think You Can Dance has been the biggest roller coaster and blessing, all at the same time, Case said.
The recent high school graduate said she experienced many ups and downs throughout the competition programs auditions, particularly during its week in Las Vegas.
But getting here has been amazing, she said. Being a part of the show, its a dream come true.
With the live portion of SYTYCDs season finally on air, practices are more intense than ever.
Well have two routines a week, so we have to practice, practice, practice to get them perfect for the show, Case said. Because it is a live show, you only get one shot. Youve got to practice as much as you can before.
Case has been dancing since she was 3 years old and has been a fan of the show since its premiere in 2005.
My dance teacher and our entire studio used to actually go and have watch parties, she said. So Ive always gotten to watch it. Ive been waiting until I was old enough to try out for it.
With high school now behind her, the Oklahoman looks forward to what her future may hold.
Hopefully, Ill make top 10 on SYTYCD so that I can tour with them over the next few months. That would be ideal, Case said. But then after that, Ill probably move out to LA and start auditioning for different dance jobs and try to get as many as I can to start my career.
Until then, she plans to enjoy her time with the show, as well as work to improve her dance skills.
The next few weeks Im looking forward to working with all the amazing choreographers, she said. They push you to be better than you could ever imagine.
Case and her fellow top 20 SYTYCD contestants perform live at 7 p.m. tomorrow night on Fox. For more information, visit fox.com/dance.
