Dozen bands to play at Okie Twist-Off concert, car show

Saturday's first-ever Okie Twist-Off concert is an all-day event featuring:
" a car show,
" 10 different bands,
" bowling and
" a pinup girl contest.

Okie Twist-Off will blast off at 66 Bowl, which organizer John Manson said will bring a certain nostalgic atmosphere since it's an historic, landmark bowling ally.

"For what we're doing it, (66 Bowl) doesn't get cooler then that," Manson said.

66 Bowl will feature three stages of live music with a dozen bands playing:
" The Flametrick Subs,
" Satan's Cheerleaders,
" The Oh Johnny! Girls,
" Brian Dunning & The Rock n Roll Trio,
" The Reverb Brothers,
" Midnight Marauders,
" The Coconauts,
" Honky Tonk Men,
" Streets of Thieves,
" Bloody Ol' Mule,
" Bays Brothers and
" The R.I.P. Tides.

Many different variations of the rockabilly genre will be heard. Manson described the various bands as an eclectic group with rockabilly, some punk and some garage, with psychobilly thrown in for texture. "Heather Caliendo
