Fajita, Fujita; what's the difference?

For a while, a tornado that damaged homes, buildings and power lines in the north metro last week was looking a lot more delicious than dangerous.

An apparently hungry NewsOK.com reporter filed a next-day weather article updating Internet readers about damage caused by tornadoes that moved through the area on March 31.

In the story, the tornado was initially classified as an F-1, using a tastier twister-ranking system, the "Fajita" scale.

CFN's crack storm spotter, Chip Salsa (who works out of a satellite office near Mamasita's on N.W. 63rd Street), never liked the traditional Fujita scale and thinks the Fajita scale could really work in the public's interest " especially when combined with a "holy guacamole" hail-severity index. Fire up those jalapeños, Chip!
