Fans of wizardry, mischief and hushed whispers of Hogwarts can enjoy the realm of Harry Potter at Science Museum Oklahoma, 2100 N.E. 52nd.

On Friday, the museum hosts "Bright Night of Harry Potter," where the comings and goings of readers' favorite fantasy characters come to life.

"We theme everything towards Harry Potter," said Drew Smith, event director. "People will walk in the door and enter the world of Harry Potter."

The sleepover event begins at 6 p.m. as costumed characters introduce children to the museum. As with all the museum's "Bright Night" events, science is integrated in all of the activities on the agenda. Friday's program differs, only in that the experiments and presentations will receive the mask of magic that is Harry Potter, Smith said.

"For the night, science will be dubbed magic, but of course, we're not really doing witchcraft," Smith said.

Budding magicians " er, scientists " will get to challenge each other in wizard duels. Other experiments include potion mixing and activities using liquid nitrogen. Attendees can view magical planetarium shows and partake in Quidditch matches.

Oh, and the group will board a charter bus and head down the hill to Cinemark Tinseltown to catch the premiere of the latest film in the series, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1."

The fun ends at 8:30 a.m. the next morning. Admission is $45 per participant. The museum limits six children to every adult chaperone.
