In the letter of response from the
owner, it stated the lease extension request had been denied and it
would expire on June 30, 2014. The letter was signed by Nichole
Lipps, vice president of W.R. Johnston & Co.
It was in response to a previous
letter, dated Feb. 21, to the building's owner, Grand Blvd. &
Western LLC, that included a request by Flip's co-owner Betsy
Mitschke, to extend the lease one year for the property at 5801 N.
Western Ave.
Flip's co-owner Gail Vines confirmed
the lease had not been renewed but declined further comment.
The Oklahoma Secretary of State lists
the registered agent for Grand Blvd. & Western LLC as David D.
Morgan. His address is listed as 501 NW Grand Blvd. That address is a
MidFirst Bank office building.
A spokesman for MidFirst said the
company does not own the building that Flip's leases.
The Flip's building was constructed in
1968. Flip's opened in 1985, according to its website, and Mitschke
and Vines have been the sole owners since 1994.
