Free Screening: Cléo from 5 to 7

The OCU annual International Film Institute's 38th year: Women Filmmakers Showcase, with free screenings the second Sunday of each month during the school year. The film opens with Cléo, a pop singer whose star is just on the rise, leaving her doctor’s office convinced that she is seriously ill. Over the next two hours, she tries to distract herself while waiting for a phone call with test results. Filmed in cabs, parks, cafés, and streets of Paris, the story presents both a thoughtful character study of poise-in-crisis and a treasure-filled audio/visual time capsule of early 1960's culture.
