That’s right. It’s time for the 10th annual and final Girlie Show. From 7-11 p.m. Friday and 12-5 p.m. Saturday, join the girl-power curation and final celebration at OKC Farmers Public Market (311 S. Klein Ave.; thegirlieshow.net).

Expect all the same fun things as in years past — performance arts, visual arts, crafts, food and booze. On Friday, the first 100 guests will receive a specialedition golden swag bag full of prizes.

The event is open to anyone 21 years old and up on Friday, and on Saturday, all ages are welcome. Tickets are $7-$50 and can be purchased online or at Blue Seven, DNA Galleries and dk salon.

“We will have some hot-to-trot burlesque and dance performers this year, plus our aerialist from last year is returning. So that’s always exciting,” Dawn Tyler-Harth said.

Harth is one of the founding three members of The Girlie Show.

This year, along with the pre-party and VIP room, the Girlies will host an after-party at 11 p.m. Friday. Join the first-time after-party blowout for the final Girlie Show at VZD’s Restaurant & Club (4200 N. Western Ave., 524-4203).

“The Oh Johnny! Girls will be playing, and it’s gonna rock,” Harth said.

If you can’t make it to the fun Friday night, expect a stellar lineup during Saturday’s show. Harth said the “lineup includes Carter Sampson, Ali Harter and some great local talent.”

Aside from a veritable Who’s Who event for lovers of local art, the show brings a wealth of retail into one gorgeous space. It’s the perfect time to knock out holiday shopping.

Amy Baldwin (Curly Q Mosaics; curlyqmosaics.blogspot.com) hails from Norman and will bring some of her pieces of work. From damask wall art to creative, handmade birthday cards, the quirky crafter repurposes different items like bingo cards, milk bottle caps, cigar labels and wallpaper.

Lisa Lee (Lisa Lee Photography; lisalee-photography.com) will have her vibrant portraits available for purchase. Her unique way of capturing photos lends to some creative and beautiful wall art. Lee is from Oklahoma City.

Another Norman artist, Laura Reese (laurareese.net) was selected to showcase her prints and sculptures.

These are only a few of the 43 female artists who will be presenting their trades. The original Girlies started a movement 10 years ago with a concept rooted in the celebration of artistic women. It changed the structure of art shows in the metro area and made the Farmers Market a popular venue for other events. Don’t miss out on the 10th annual and final celebration of The Girlie Show.
