The arts community in Oklahoma City has grown considerably since her parents had their studio near the state Capitol, and she is thrilled to see her hometown evolve into an arts center.
"It's mind-blowing, it's amazing," she said. "The whole cultural scene is just exploding here. It used to be that Tulsa was the art town and Oklahoma City was the cowboy town."
