At 7:30 p.m. Thursday, the University of Central Oklahoma’s Wind Symphony puts its lips to a concert of 20thcentury classics at the campus’ Mitchell Hall Theater. On the program are compositions by Sergei Prokofiev, Roger Nixon, H. Owen Reed and Ingolf Dahl.

“Besides the lush scoring and soaring pictorial themes, the pieces are well-crafted, with highly skilled voicing and wonderful form,” said conductor Brian Lamb in a press release.

Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for seniors. For more information, call 974-3375 or visit uco.edu/cfad/events. —Rod Lott
