Harkins Bricktown Cinemas presents 'Summer Movie Fun'

Take a break from the blistering heat and have some "Summer Movie Fun" with your kids at Harkins Bricktown Cinemas.

Each week this summer, Harkins is screening child-friendly movies early in the morning for a reduced price of $2 per day or $5 per summer pass, which grants access to the 10 program movies all summer long, said Margie Knight, a theater ticket agent.

Families can choose one weekday to attend if they have their summer pass, or pay each day if they're a "walk-in," Knight said. Pass purchasers must pick out a specific day to watch the movies each week.

"It's every summer and it's 10 movies for $5," she said.

SUMMER SCREENINGS
This week, Harkins will show "Hotel for Dogs," a story about children who run a vacation resort for canines. Depending on the day, Harkins expects anywhere from 100 to 500 kids to attend the summer screenings, Knight said.

Adults can purchase "Summer Movie Fun" tickets for the kids' price, but they must have a child 12 or younger to accompany them, according to the theatre Web site.

"Summer Movie Fun" is 9:45 a.m. each weekday at Harkins Bricktown Cinemas 16, 150 E. Reno. For more information, call 231-4747.
