Dip into cheese and chocolate creations from restaurants around the metro Friday at "Fondue Fandago," the Harn Homestead's third annual fondue tasting and cocktail party fund-raiser.

Guests can sample and vote on their favorite fondue from The Melting Pot, The Wedge Pizzeria, Adobe Grill, Coco Flow, Tom & Jerry's Steak & Fish Grille, Deep Fork Grill and more.

"It's a competition for the restaurants and a tasting party for the guests," said Cher Golding, Harn Homestead executive director. "It's a unique way for people to just come to the party and get your feet wet learning about the organization."

The museum will award prizes for the best sweet and savory fondues. In addition, there will be a live auction, dancing, a wine pull and hors d'oeuvres from Iguana Mexican Grill.

The Harn Homestead is a historic educational museum that hosts school field trips and guided tours, teaching visitors about Oklahoma's unique past and early pioneer life. Originally owned by William Fremont Harn, the museum sits on 10 acres of land run property and includes several historic buildings. Event proceeds will benefit the museum.

"It's a great cause. It gets bigger and better every year," Golding said. "And who doesn't love cheese and chocolate?"

The fund-raiser kicks off 7 to 11 p.m. at the Meinders Hall of Mirrors in Civic Center Music Hall, 201 N. Walker. Tickets are $75 in advance and $85 at the door. For more information, call 235-4058.
