The night before a gal's wedding might consist of a rowdy bachelorette party. But on the eve of Lindsey Deskin's wedding, she instead will wait in line with scads of fellow Harry Potter fanatics for the midnight release of the final book, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows."
The fifth Harry Potter movie, "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix," is now in theaters and the seventh and final Harry Potter novel hits Saturday.
Deskin, who works for a local dentist, said she and her spouse-to-be chose the date of their nuptials before the final book release date was announced. Still, she said she couldn't miss the final book release party.
"I think people underestimate Harry Potter fans," she said. "They don't realize how many of us there are and how many crazy people there are. My fiancé thinks I'm weird about it and I'm not half as bad as some of them."
HARRY'S FATE
With the final book, fans finally will get their answer to what happens regarding Harry Potter's fate. Deskin said even though "Hallows" is the final book, she doesn't feel like it's the end of Harry Potter for her.
"My fiancé is saying, 'You will be so sad that it's over,' but I don't think that's true," she said. "Right now I'm just excited to read it because there are so many unanswered questions. I don't think Harry Potter will ever be gone from my life." "Heather Caliendo
