Local builders have come together to showcase the latest in building products and design trends for a tour benefitting the Variety Care Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to providing primary health care to low-income families.
“These homes represent two versions of complete luxury for two very different lifestyles,” said Tamra Trickey, project coordinator for the event.
Wayne Griffiths Homes presents a sprawling home, custom-built for a large family, at 11649 Mill Hollow Court in the Stonemill neighborhood. The fivebedroom residence, which will be occupied in the fall, is 7,000-square-feet.
Interior highlights include two studies, a kitchen, workout and movie rooms, a playroom complete with karaoke stage, a butler’s pantry, a wrapping station and two laundry areas. The family pooch has its own dog shower. Meister Designs, Inc. completed the interior design.
The patio boasts a large outdoor living area and kitchen that are complemented by a pool.
“The home in Stonemill has geothermal heating and cooling,” said Trickey. “This is a great way to cut down on energy bills and help save the environment.”
The second home, at 1501 N.W. 158th Street in Edmond, is located in The Abbey at Fairview Farm.
Constructed as a spec by Fairview IV, the upscale townhouse is geared toward the empty nester, as it sits on a smallerthan-average lot and requires minimal yard maintenance.
The property’s 3,200 square feet includes a gourmet kitchen, expansive living area, wine cellar, media room, outdoor entertainment area and chic master suite and bath. Interior design is by Linda Quigley.
“[This is] perfect for the people who want to downsize, but maintain a high level of quality and finish,” said Trickey.
She said the annual tour gives the creative talent a chance to show off their skills and provide visitors an opportunity to learn from the best designers.
The homework is fun, too, given the imaginative uses of such different types of materials as marble, wood, glass tiles and granites, in addition to bold color palettes. Both homes boasts full landscapes and gardens.
