The linebacker with all-American good looks flexes his muscle in ballads and anthems alike, demonstrating a solid versatility over the course of the EPs five tracks.
Opener Cant Forget About You is built around a standard pop-country hook, anchored by a rock earnestness and Adams rich, powerful voice. Miss Me Whiskey is a more interesting offering, finding the foreground between radio country and thoughtful folk-pop (especially in the delightful outro) and recalling John Mayer on more than a moment or two.

This Cowboys Gonna Ride is similarly straightforward, but again, solid enough. While not offering anything wholly original, the disc is a consistent package of crowd-pleasers one that should help Adams make the jump from role player to playmaker in subsequent efforts.
