Kevin Durant reacts to Jason Collins' coming out: 'It's cool with me'

Add Thunder superstar Kevin Durant to that chorus of voices.

"If he's happy, that's cool. Nobody has the right to judge,” Durant said earlier today in Houston, where the Thunder is preparing for tonight's Game 4 first-round playoff game against the Rockets.

“He's his own man. He makes his own decisions. As NBA players, it's a big group of guys. it's kind of like a brotherhood. I know I support him.”

Collins made the announcement in an upcoming Sports Illustrated interview. In doing so, the 12-year NBA veteran becomes the first male athlete on a U.S. professional sports team to come out as gay.

“I don't really know him," Durant said, "but whatever decision he made is something he really thought was good for him. There's not anything anyone can say about it.

"As long as he's happy, it's cool with me."
