There is an
update. The New York-based Center for Reproductive Rights (CRR) joined
the Oklahoma Coalition for Reproductive Justice to challenge the law. On
Aug. 19, the case went before Oklahoma District Judge Lisa Davis. She
ruled that the law cannot go into effect while the lawsuit is pending.
She added that CRR’s challenge has a high likelihood of succeeding if
the case is appealed to a higher court.
Meanwhile, women may buy emergency contraception (also called Plan B or the morning-after pill) on pharmacy shelves.
