We have been approached many times in Oklahoma by the people and
media to shed some light on the Syrian story. It is our duty to educate
the people and tell them about the big picture. All of us know that the
problem is much bigger than the discussion about the chemical weapons.
The problem is the bad foreign policy that this administration has
adopted in regard to the Syrian revolution.

The big picture is this
is not a civil war. It is a people’s uprising against a ruthless
dictator. The dictator is willing to and is already committing
unimaginable atrocities to maintain his control — the situation will
only get worse unless the free world intervenes.

The demonstrators remained peaceful for eight months despite all the killings, torture and arrests.
The
Free Syria Army (FSA) started with defecting officers and soldiers who
refused to carry the orders to kill demonstrators in addition to
ordinary people who had to bear arms in order to defend themselves and
their families. Two years ago, there were essentially no outside
elements and the free world refused to arm the FSA sitting different
excuses.

Due to the passive position of the free world, outside
elements started infiltrating; they were initially few tens, now
10,000-20,000. Further lack of support to the FSA will divide the area
between two vicious US enemies, Al-Qaida and Hezbollah/Iran.

Very
soon, this will transcend into Jordan, followed by Saudi Arabia and the
Gulf, threatening the world's oil supplies. Supporting the original FSA
will help change the above scenario by building a unified Syria and will
cost no US casualties.
