Christa Carretero (Cooking Girl) and Alicia Helsley (Fat Daddy Sweets) combined two businesses that are putting out high-quality food every day but Sunday. Abel’s Mexican Restaurant

Abel Ramos is ready to help customers every day of the week. Several
months ago, Ramos opened his second restaurant on S. May Avenue; the
first is on N.W. 50th, and it has been going strong. It is a culinary
gem with recipes from Aguascalientes, a central area of Mexico. He has
16 different combinations on the full lunch menu, with all the food
homemade.

Miles and Tracy Bartlett took over the ownership of the deli in May.
“All the recipes are exactly the same,” Miles Bartlett said. Start
talking to him, and he’ll let you know about their No. 1 sandwich (it’s
turkey, mortadella and bacon) or the tuna and apple sandwiches. Napoleon
has freshly made no-bake cookies, brownies, plus a yummy bread pudding
covered with caramelized pecans.

lakeside cafe and actually stand in line to wait to get into the place.
The cafe has steaks (any size you want) that are cut right in front of

Wednesday through Sunday, Clear Bay is located in an Oklahoma state
park. Order the steak, catfish or burgers.

Midtown Louie’s opened on N. Walker Avenue in March. Many patrons
request the pizzas or the sandwiches that come with a deal. For example,
