Last time, I reviewed the movies Rio, Monte Carlo and Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer so my dad didnt have to, but this time, Im reviewing the movies Mr. Poppers Penguins and The Smurfs.
I loved the movie Mr. Popper's Penguins, and everything about it. It was a comedy that I definitely enjoyed. I would love to have penguins in my own home.
The movie was about a businessman who lived in an apartment in a big city. One day, when he was about to go to work, a big package arrived from his dad. It was a penguin. More and more got shipped to his house until there were all six.
He tried to get rid of them, when suddenly, he realizes that he needs these penguins and they bring his family together. He tries to keep them hidden in his apartment, but that is not really how it turns out. A mean zookeeper tries to take the penguins away, saying that they dont belong in an apartment. The family does everything they can to help save the penguins, and bring back the family again.
I really didnt like the movie The Smurfs. It was, to me, very slow and boring. The action scenes were not very exciting, and they did not make you want to keep watching.
During the movie, I started to get bored, because the movie was not surprising, funny or exciting. I expected for it to be a lot funnier. The only part that I liked was the very beginning and then I started to lose interest. (Editors note: But what about Sofia Vergara? And what was she wearing?)
It was about little blue guys who were running from a bad guy and ended up in New York with a family that watched their back while they tried to get back to their land. If it were I who was making the movie, I would have made it funnier. I could tell that they tried, but still, its not making me laugh. Audrey Lott
