MS Society refutes Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation finding

This just in: coffee does not cure multiple sclerosis symptoms. Come again? We at CFN didn't even know coffee was a contender. Apparently, though, the good folks at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation seemed to think there was something special about caffeine. A venti vanilla soy caramel latte with whipped cream and cinnamon does sound good right about now.

On lab tests conducted on mice, the foundation found that downing copious amounts of java seemed to have an impact on MS. CFN wonders if there were just a whole bunch of tweaked-out mice fighting for a turn on the wheel and secretly ordering espresso machines online when the science-types weren't looking?

For all the foundation's coffee hypotheses, the MS Society responded to their wide-eyed research with a big "Thanks, but no thanks."

No word yet on whether coffee cures syphilis, but Bucky sure has been hitting the java hard these last few days.
