Muskogee man wins wing-eating contest in Maryland

Now, that's a spicy poultry appendage!

The Muskogee Phoenix reported that an Oklahoman man " and apparently his cast-iron digestive system " took top honors at last week's Wings to Go Homicide Hot Wing Challenge in Baltimore.

Representing a Wings to Go location in Muskogee, Mike Yoss of Connerville downed 20 hot wings in a cool two minutes and two seconds to emerge as the contest's victor.

According to the article, the second-place entrant finished almost a full minute later.

Yoss ate his way to triumph over three other competitive chompers, as well as the event host, former Chicago Bears defensive lineman and "Super Bowl Shuffle" rapper William "The Refrigerator" Perry.

For his gastronomical gumption, Yoss earned himself a trip to a football game of his choice. He told the paper he has yet to pick one, however. Hey, to continue the taxonomy trend, why not the Ravens?
