New spring-themed exhibit opens at 50 Penn Place Art Gallery

acerun: yes"> "We have approximately 35 artists showing this time so it's a big show," said gallery founder Bert Seabourn. "They're all Oklahoma artists, but they're spread from all over the state."

Seabourn said the collection would include works created using several different mediums.

"We have watercolor, oil, pastels and acrylic," he said. "Then, of course, we have a sculptor or two and a potter, so it's a good variety of things."

Seabourn is one of the original artists who helped open the Oklahoma City gallery almost two decades ago.

"There are three of us still with the gallery that started it over 17 years ago," he said. "We still keep about the same number of working artists, and we have a good following of guest artists from across the state."

"Color of Spring" is on display through May. Admission to the opening is free. For more information, call 848-5567. "?James Lovett
