Grab a partner and audition for a chance to be on NBC's reality show "The Biggest Loser."
Television producers are searching for contestants all over the country eager to be the next weight-loss champion, and will hold auditions and interviews 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at O'Connell's Irish Pub & Grille, 769 Asp in Norman, said restaurant manager Sarah Palmer.
Contestants must bring a partner, and both must need to lose at least 100 pounds, she said. Partners can be spouses, couples, siblings, friends or anything in between. Producers will only interview the first 500 teams, and contestants are allowed to start lining up at 7 a.m., she said.
Palmer expects thousands to attend and said contestants don't need to bring anything to the interview except their partner. She said casting producers were very tight-lipped with other details and information about the interview process and what they were looking for in contestants.
"They're keeping it under wraps," she said.
O'Connell's will provide a room for groups of 10 to be interviewed, but otherwise will conduct business as usual, Palmer said. She said she thinks the show picked Norman based on its college-town appeal.
"I'm excited. I think it's going to bring a lot of people to Norman that haven't been this way before or in a long time," she said.
