Love, orchids, dinner and orchids

If you can think of a better way to celebrate Valentine’s Day than strolling through 1,000 types of orchids adorning something called the Crystal Bridge Tropical Conservatory while sipping bubbly and then being treated to a three-course meal of lobster ravioli, beef tenderloin with red wine and cocoa and pineapple sponge cake with toasted coconut ice cream … just get the hell out. For the rest of you, a new exhibition, Jewel Orchids: Treasures of the Rainforest, and a Valentine’s Day Dinner at Park House each takes place 6 p.m. Saturday at Myriad Botanical Gardens. Registration is required by Wednesday. Tickets for the exhibition opening are $15-$30. A dinner table for two is $89. Visit Saturday
