Love, orchids, dinner and orchids
If you can think of a better way to celebrate Valentines Day than strolling through 1,000 types of orchids adorning something called the Crystal Bridge Tropical Conservatory while sipping bubbly and then being treated to a three-course meal of lobster ravioli, beef tenderloin with red wine and cocoa and pineapple sponge cake with toasted coconut ice cream just get the hell out. For the rest of you, a new exhibition, Jewel Orchids: Treasures of the Rainforest, and a Valentines Day Dinner at Park House each takes place 6 p.m. Saturday at Myriad Botanical Gardens. Registration is required by Wednesday. Tickets for the exhibition opening are $15-$30. A dinner table for two is $89. Visit myriadgardens.org. Saturday
