For
diners avoiding gluten, foods like fresh meats, fruits and veggies are
fantastic options. At Nunu’s, a Greek salad topped with a chicken
breast, tomatoes, cucumbers, artichoke hearts and olives might just hit
the spot. Get a side of hummus dip, and ask for extra veggies in place
of pita bread.

Stay
away from the soy sauce! Other than that, enjoy a plethora of rolls for
lunch or dinner. The fried rice done on hibachi is some of the best in
the city, but be sure to request no soy sauce before preparation. Pair
your meal with some traditional sake, and conclude with a scoop of
vanilla ice cream.

At
Blue Nile, being gluten-free is actually pretty simple. Most of its
dishes are fresh fruit- and veggie-based. Its injera is not gluten-free,
however, so make sure to stay away from it if you’re avoiding due to
allergy or other dietary restriction. Enjoy the kitfo, beef or turkey,
with special seasonings and a homemade ayib — an Ethiopian cottage
cheese.
