OU Symphony Orchestra

The University of Oklahoma Symphony Orchestra will perform an evening of romantic, sweeping music by Bach, Prokofiev and Sibelius, in Sharp Concert Hall, Catlett Music Center, on the OU Norman campus. Jonathan Shames serves as conductor of the orchestra. “This concert combines the romanticism of Prokofiev’s music for Romeo and Juliet, the joyfulness of Bach’s Orchestral Suite No. 4 and the powerful, austere beauty of Sibelius’ popular Symphony No. 2,” said Shames. “There is something for almost everyone here, and we hope many will join us for this evening.
