Of the 12-game slate, half will be played at home in Norman, starting with the Sept. 3 opener again Tulsa. The much-anticipated OU/Texas rivalry takes place Oct. 8 in Dallas.

The schedule arrives later than usual this year, due to changes within the Big 12 and discussions with partners for televised coverage, said Joe Castiglione, OU vice president for intercollegiate athletics, in a press release.

“We appreciate the patience of our fans as we completed this process,” Castiglione said. “We encountered unusual circumstances this year, but those circumstances were unavoidable. We now feel like we have a schedule that provides good rhythm and continuity for our fans and team, and yet still provides great exposure for us through television.”

The complete schedule is as follows:

• Sept. 3 – Tulsa
• Sept. 17 – at Florida State
• Sept. 24 – Missouri
• Oct. 1 – Ball State
• Oct. 8 – Texas at Dallas
• Oct. 15 – at Kansas
• Oct. 22 – Texas Tech
• Oct. 29 – at Kansas State
• Nov. 5 – Texas A&M
• Nov. 19 – at Baylor
• Nov. 26 – Iowa State
• Dec. 3 – at Oklahoma State
