In his letter to Oklahoma Gazette ("Peace activist should apologize," Sept. 22), K.A. Straughn challenged my assertion that anti-Muslim and anti-Obama emotions are fomented on Fox Radio by Glenn Beck and others. Well, they are. And if the origin of the ridiculous beliefs that President Obama is a foreign-born socialist Muslim cannot be pinned on Beck specifically, the Fox shock-jocks have all enjoyed fanning the flames of anti-Obama and anti-Democrat fury. It's their job.
Fox Network owner Rupert Murdoch is a multi-billionaire with a political agenda parallel to David Koch's of the Koch Industries Inc. energy conglomerate in Wichita, Kan.
Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin and others on Fox Radio encourage listeners to blame our wrecked economy and job loss on liberals, environmentalists, Hispanic immigrants and others "¦ anyone but those responsible. Keeping Americans angry, and blaming each other, instead of blaming the billionaire Pharaohs who buy and sell Congress members, keeps otherwise good folks enraged at groups not responsible for America's economic woes. The Fox jocks do their job well.
