The restaurant will be S&B’s third in less than three years of operation. The original is at 5929 N. May, and a Midtown location opened last year at 20 N.W. Ninth. Neel said a fourth location in Norman is in the works for later this year or early 2013.

In conjunction with the 7745 S. Walker grand opening, all the S&B’s will launch a new menu. Already well-known for custom and build-your-own burgers and sliders, the restaurant will also be offering street tacos.

“We looked at our menu and decided this was a good time for an update,” Neel said. “Shannon (co-owner Shannon Roper) makes amazing street tacos, so we’re excited about the additions.”

The new location is going in to an existing building, so Neel said it would be “halfway to S&B’s rock ’n’ roll record store look” in the first phase, based on the concept design.

“It’ll still be a record-store motif, but we can’t do everything at once,” he said. “In phase two, we’ll add the garage doors.”

Neel declined to discuss the location for the Norman store, saying options were still being discussed.
