I just wanted to respond to Ben Anderson's letter ("Bicycle races are coming your way," Oct. 6, Gazette) about pedestrians using the bike trail.
I wish that the bicyclist would obey the traffic signs. Entering Stars & Stripes Park, there is a stop sign for the path, and I don't know how many times I have seen bicyclists run this sign just to keep from losing momentum. They are going to get hit by a car thinking they are going to stop at the sign. Not just the one at the park, but the one over by the golf course as well.
