Owner Sean Cummings says he is on the lookout for people who would like to join him on a trip to Dublin in 2012 to see Navy and Notre Dame play in Ireland. “There is a huge amount of Notre Dame alumni in the Oklahoma and Tulsa area,” he said. Basil Mediterranean Restaurant

6620 E. Reno, Midwest City 736-0500

Ever
dine at Zorba’s on N. May? This is a sister restaurant that is doing
well. The portions have grown larger, for example, diners will find more
vegetables on the osso buco, and the Euro platter has grown in size.
There is a lunch combo from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. where you can get a
sandwich and fries with a free drink. And here’s a tip: Get the baklava.

The
most requested food on the menu at the bar is the sweet potato fries
along with the fried pickles. People like the blackened chicken sandwich
and follow that with Guinness bonbons, which are chocolate cake with a
chocolate shell done with raspberry liquor. You will like its Reuben
sandwich, for sure.

Coolgreens

14201 N. May 286-9304

In
this ever-changing world of food, there is one thing that stays
constant, and it is fresh ingredients. Coolgreens is paving the way for
others in how they think about and eat food. One of its co-owners is
Chris Lower, who has been instrumental in bringing forth so many of our
finest metro restaurants. In Coolgreens, everything is done in front of
the diner after they point out just what they desire. What could be
better?
