Rock for the causes



First, on Friday, $5 or five nonperishable food items get you into “Bands for Cans,” a Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma benefit at Campus Corner’s 747, 747 Asp in Norman. On the 8 p.m.-to-midnight bill are Red Hot Iguanas, Skating Polly, Trent Tiger of Left Foot Sally, Meant 2 Be, The Fixin’s, A.Dd+, a Willie Nelson impersonator and two local comedians.

In addition, a cash-only raffle will be held, and beer and wine will be  available.

On Saturday, Oklahoma-born country star Bryan White will be joined by Woody Wright, Chris Hester, Matt Blagg and David Klinkenberg at the Ken Lance Arena in Ada. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for the 7 p.m. show. All proceeds will go directly to families affected by last month’s tornadoes.
