Romance in the Stacks lets readers meet Okie romance authors

For those who love to snuggle up and let their minds wander in an imagination ride through the words of a favorite novel, the Oklahoma Center for the Book invites them to take part in "Romance in the Stacks," held 10:30 a.m. Friday at Gaylord-Pickens Oklahoma Heritage Museum, 1400 Classen Drive.

"The Center is planning to do annual events to highlight Oklahoma authors who write different types of fiction," said Bill Young, a spokesman for Oklahoma Center for the Book. "Romance is so popular, and this state is blessed to have many romance writers, we thought it was the genre to kick off an annual series."

Attendees can meet and eat lunch with 11 Oklahoma romance novelists, participate in a book signing, and enter for door prizes like an iPod touch. Some of the participating authors include Sharon Sala, Laura Marie Altom, Christine Rimmer, Alicia Dean and Georgina Gentry.
Tickets to the catered luncheon are $15. Registration opens at 10 a.m. For more information, call 522"?3383. "LeighAnne Manwarren
