At 6 p.m. Thursday, The Greens will open to the public for the fundraiser.
Harris has been sponsoring happy hours for about a year, with each raising money for a different local charity. As a result, he estimates that more than $2,000 to date has been raised for local charities. As a perk, the fundraisers bring people together to socialize and network.
Fifteen percent of the evenings revenue will go to Make-A-Wish. The Greens is donating hors doeuvres and a buffet dinner.
A cash bar is available, and beach-appropriate cocktails will be featured. The party will be poolside, weather permitting.
Memberships to The Greens will be available for purchase; a portion of the first months dues will go to Make-A-Wish.
The last time we had a happy hour at The Greens, five people joined, and the money was donated to help Oklahoma children, Harris said.
