Six homes featured on Lincoln Terrace tour

Step out of the present and walk through the doors of the past this weekend at the Lincoln Terrace Neighborhood Association's historic home tour. Located directly south of the state Capitol complex, this historic neighborhood will open the doors to six of its grandest residences to anyone and everyone interested in catching a glimpse of city history.

The neighborhood will be open for tours from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

"We hope this event will surpass everyone's expectations," said Lori Alspaugh, tour chair and neighborhood association board member, in a press release. "We want to showcase the grandeur of this revitalized historic area to the public and raise money needed to continue the beautification of the Lincoln Terrace neighborhood."

After visiting five homes, the tour will conclude at the Harn Homestead Museum, where visitors will be greeted with food and a live jazz quartet.
