Bursting with enthusiasm, the owners had a midnight opening on Aug. 31 and are rockin with neat flavors and consistency. Make sure to take advantage of sampling the Hunka Chunka Banana Love, the wedding cake cupcake, the red velvet and chocolate salted caramel. This is a sister to Gigis on N. May. Another cupcake option, the Merry Margarita, has found fans already.
Shish Kabob Restaurant
3608 N. May 942-5051
New owners took over a few months ago and are presenting several delicious items, such as chicken tawook, which is charbroiled chicken with grilled vegetables and rice served with a cucumber sauce and a garlic sauce on the side and a house salad. Shish Kabob also has a gyro plate, and for those who shy away from anything with a face (or a mother), try the vegetarian sampler.

heard of eating dessert first? Yep, some people do. Jammed with locals,
this place is sure to become a landmark due to its pound cake with
strawberries and whipped cream and apple crisp. Nothing beats a
build-your-own sandwich where the customers tell them exactly how they
want it constructed, along with really popular nachos and sweet potato
fries. Thunder Alley opens daily at 11 a.m.

is opening momentarily in some 4,500 square feet in the Town &

raspberry-chipotle sauce that will make your head sweat, and five
burgers all done with top-notch beef from Cusack Meats. It also has
rib-eye and filet. The place is awesome with 20 high-def TVs.
