Spaghetti dinner to benefit wounded soldier

The explosion caused him to lose both his legs and his left arm, making him one of only 23 surviving triple amputees from the war. Dunagan will be honored with a spaghetti dinner and bake sale from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the American Legion Building, 123 N. First in Guthrie. Adults can eat for $7 a plate, while kids under 11 can eat for $5.50.

Additionally, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Aug. 6, an auction at the Lazy E Arena, 9600 Lazy E, will help defray expenses for Dunagan, who was awarded the Purple Heart. Vendors are encouraged to apply by Aug. 1. Entertainment will includes Steve Rizzo, Tony Memmel, Dave Reed, Edgar Cruz and Coles Bluegrass.
