The roof, the roof, the roof is on fire up in Stillwater. And let us tell you, all the police up there apparently have a lot of time on their hands.
According to a recent story in the Stillwater NewsPress, three law enforcement agencies " three! " converged on four dudes sitting on their roof allegedly drinking beer and passing around ganja.
Payne County Sheriff Noel Bagwell told the newspaper that he executed a search warrant for narcotics (that's pot, apparently) along N. Husband Street, along with his deputies, Stillwater police and Oklahoma State University Police.
What? No SWAT?
The story states that upon arrival, the officers observed several people drinking beer on the rooftop with pitchers of beer alongside them. They were ordered off the rooftop.
Upon investigating, according to the story, all four were revealed to be under the age of 21. Confiscated with them was a keg of beer, along with marijuana, marijuana seeds and paraphernalia.
No mention of stems. And no mention of "Led Zeppelin II" or Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Second Helping." Or "Up on the Roof" by James Taylor.
According to the story, four were booked into jail. Charges varied from possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, underage in possession of an alcoholic beverage and possession of marijuana without tax stamp affixed.
One guy who apparently didn't inhale received an alcohol-related charge.
