If not, a quickie recap: The ostensible scandal occurred on Sept. 11, 2012, when terrorists attacked the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, killing U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans. Early public statements by White House officials incorrectly attributed the violence to a protest against an anti-Muslim video.

The findings resulted in the resignation of four State Department officials, although the report also concluded that the Obama administrations response to the attack had been timely and appropriate.
