The Norman North High School Chorale was selected to be among the show’s slate of young performers from across the country. According to Susan Clark, development director for KCSC-FM 90.1, the group is “extremely excited” and will perform Eric Whitacre’s “Water Night,” under the direction of Tony Gonzalez.
“A radio show like ‘From the Top’ that has been on the air for over a decade is proof that classical music is not a dead language,” said Brad Ferguson, KCSC manager.
Aired on approximately 250 public radio stations nationwide, the show garners an audience of more than 700,000 listeners weekly. KCSC airs it 2 p.m. Sundays.
